Joyce went on many holidays abroad and on coach trips in the UK with friends.  She especially enjoyed visiting gardens.  She enjoyed holidays in Switzerland, Italy (Rome and Florence), France (Paris, Provence and visiting chateaux), the Isle of Arran, Ireland (gardens of Ireland in the south-west, the Cliffs of Moher and Galway), The Scilly Islands,  and the USA amongst others.
